Basic Rules of SocGol
Every touch of the ball is a stroke and counts as one. A double touch of the ball is two strokes.
Around the gol one foot has to be firmly planted on the ground, motionless, or both feet must leave the ground at the same time.
Out of Bounds
If any ball lands on another fairway other than the one playing, it is a penalty.
One penalty stroke for out of bounds. Ball is placed where it left the fairway in play, no closer to the hole.
Ball is out of bounds if it enters any water on the course. The ball is placed at point where it entered the water.
A Gol
Ball must hit the post. Ball resting on the post is considered in.
Gols off the defenders count.
Sweeper Penalty
If the ball at any time hits the sweeper, the wider post defender, a penalty is scored.
If the ball hits the sweeper and than continues on to hit the Gol, it does not count.
Ball will be played from where it lies.
Scoring
A point is scored for every kick of the ball
A point is scored for every penalty assigned.
Lowest point total wins.
